Hanif Hingora rebuts CM’s claim, says only small fries have been arrested by Bihar Police

Patna,(BiharTimes): Hanif Hingora, the father of Sohail Hingora, who was abducted from Daman, and later released after the payment of ransom money in Bihar, said on Tuesday that none of those eight persons arrested by the Bihar Police are the main accused in the case.

Talking to the Sahara Samay after the chief minister Nitish Kumar’s statement in the state Assembly that the CID report has made no mention whatsoever of the involvement of any political person in this crime, Hanif Hingora said that all these eight persons whom the CID had mentioned in its report and about whom the CM have made reference are small fries. He said that he wanted to know where are those 16 people who abducted his son Sohail from Daman? “Why is it that the CID report not talking about the involvement of the white-collared persons in the case?”

Though he refused to name any particular person he said that he had given each and every information to the Bihar Police. They have the record of the mobile phones, CDs, photos of the accused, their names and all the evidences. Yet the CID has not made any major arrest and no gang leaders have been arrested. “I have given all the clues and now it is upto the Police to arrest them,” he said.

Referring to the chief minister’s speech in the state Assembly he said there is nothing new in it. “These are not so important issues as to when I arrived, where I reached Jehanabad etc. What is important is why are the white-collared accused not being arrested?” he told the channel.

He said that he had nothing to do with politics as he is not a political person. What he wants is that the police should reach to the bottom of the fact. Till now it has not reached there.
