Independent MLA brings alleged IM agents to Bihar Assembly

Patna,(BiharTimes): Independent MLA Pawan Jaiswal on Wednesday brought Jameel Akhtar and Manzoor Sai, the two persons named as Indian Mujahideen operatives by the SSB in its letter, in the state Assembly.

He brought them in the Assembly to meet the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, who avoided giving time to them as it would have given the BJP yet another opportunity to attack the state government.

The MLA said that on Tuesday, while delivering his speech on the floor of the Assembly the chief minister said that two belonged to Phulwaria village in Dhaka block of East Champaran district. “Phulwaria is my native village. I decided to bring the two before the chief minister to see for himself,” he told the media.

“Had I not brought them here they would have committed suicide. They went through serious mental torture,” said Jaiswal.

Jameel told the media that his name was falsely given as a terrorist. “I went to the thana and SP in this regard,” he said. Manzoor said he had accompanied Jameel to wherever he went.

However, the leader of oppostioin in the state Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, objected to this behaviour of the Independent MLA. “How he got permission from Vidhan Sabha to bring terror accused. If the SSB has reported that he had gone to Pakistan and has link with that country’s intelligence agency how can he be brought to the Assembly in the car by an Independent MLA,” Nand Kishore asked.

He sought a thorough probe into the matter.

Incidentally, the SSB letter also mentions that the two had links with Bihar’s minority welfare minister, Shahid Ali Khan
