RLSP joins NDA, may contest on three seats

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) on Saturday announced a pre-poll alliance for the 2014 Lok Sabha election.

Under the agreement the BJP will contest 37 seats while the RLSP three. Thus the RLSP has become a constituent of National Democratic Alliance.

The national general secretary of BJP, Dharmendra Pradhan, state unit president, Mangal Pandey, former

deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Nand Kishore Yadav, C P Thakur and RLSP national president Upendra Kushwaha and its state unit chief Arun Kumar were present on the occasion.

According to Mangal Pandey the seats to be contested by the new ally in Bihar would be decided in due course of time.

However, sources said that RLSP is likely to get Nawada, Ujjiarpur and Karakat parliamentary seats in Bihar.

Upendra Kushwaha also said that his party would support the BJP-sponsored rail chakka jam all over the state on February 28 to protest against the Centre’s discriminatory attitude towards Bihar by denying it the special category status.
