Narendra Modi’s Muzaffarpur rally hit by infighting in BJP?

Patna,(BiharTimes): As almost all the state BJP top brass have rushed to New Delhi either to support or oppose the alliance with the Lok Janshakti Party the proposed March 3 rally of its prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, in Muzaffarpur is suddenly getting less attention.

Unlike the preparation for the Hunkar Rally the party rank and file appear to be little bothered about it. It is only a couple of days back that the party shifted its venue on the plea that the Police Line ground, allotted by the district administration, was much smaller. What now they fear is that if the preparations are not made and the new ground on Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur highway remains vacant it would send a wrong message to the masses.

Incidentally, Muzaffarpur is in the vicinity of Hajipur and Samastipur, the two Lok Sabha seats the LJP, is demanding for the Paswan brothers to contest.

The sudden development has certainly shattered the morale of many party workers, who are literally working at the ground-level.

Political observers are of the view that true the Hunkar Rally was a state level rally yet paying less attention to the one in Muzaffarpur may affect the confidence of the party workers as it is being held on the eve of the Lok Sabha election. As there is now only one star campaigner for the BJP all efforts need to be paid to it.

Muzaffarpur is the centre of north Bihar politics with very strong Bhumihar and Rajput presence.
