Rs 220.51 crore nod for ISBT in Patna


Patna,(BiharTimes): The state cabinet on Thursday sanctioned Rs 220.51 crore to be given to Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (Buidco) for construction of an inter-state bus terminal (ISBT) at Mauza-Pahari (near Patna-Gaya road), on the south-eastern outskirt of Patna, The amount has been taken as loan from HUDCO.

The ISBT is to be set up on 25.02 acre land acquired by the state government.

The cabinet also approved Rs 372.58 crore to the panchayati raj department for construction of streets and drainage in villages by the panchayats under Mukhya Mantri Gramoday scheme.

Apart from this the cabinet also sanctioned Rs 38 crore under Backward Region Grant Fund ( BRGF) for capacity building in 38 districts at the rate of Rs one crore each.
The cabinet sanctioned Rs 4.59 crore to Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) for giving training to the concerned with a view to toning up administration. The cabinet also gave administrative sanction for utilization of Rs 65.48 crore under Bihar Shatabdi Private Tubewell scheme.
