JD(U) welcomes Shotgun, BJP hits back

Patna,(BiharTimes): Following the exclusion of Patna Saheb MP, Shatrughan Sinha, from the 31-member parliamentary election committee, the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday offered him place in the party.

State party chief Vashishth Narayan Singh said that he always felt that Shatrughan would be sidelined by the BJP.

But he went on to ask as to why the BJP did not take similar action against Sushil Kumar Modi, when he as the deputy chief minister of Bihar, use to see prime ministerial material in Nitish Kumar.

He said though it is upto the Patna Saheb MP to take the final decision yet the Janata Dal (United) had kept its door open for him.

However, the BJP leader, Giriraj Singh, strongly criticized the state JD(U) chief for his statement. Giriraj reminded him that as back as 2003 Nitish Kumar had openly asked Narendra Modi to play a much bigger role in the Centre. He should once again return to his old stand and support the candidature of Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the NDA
