Afghan farmers to visit Muzaffarpur, Nalanda districts


Patna,(BiharTimes): Farmers from two provinces of Afghanistan arrived in Patna on Wednesday to interact with their counterparts in Muzaffarpur and Nalanda districts.

The team of small and marginal farmers from Khost and Paktiya would visit several villages in the two districts during their week-long stay in the state.

The first team, led by Mohammad Ali from Khost, would visit Musahari, Dholi, Saraiya, Kanti, Bochaha, Minapur and Motipur blocks in Muzaffarpur district and would interact with the farmers engaged in honey production, floriculture, dairy farming, mushroom cultivation, litchi farming, sugarcane and poultry farming. They would also meet the officials of agriculture and horticulture departments in these blocks.

The second team of farmers from Paktiya province, led by Mohammad Mustafa, includes four couples. They would visit Noorsarai, Nagarnausa, Harnaut, Chandi, Silao, Pawapuri, Rajgir and Islampur blocks of Nalanda district and meet the potato growers and those engaged in fruit and vegetable production.
