Patna,(BiharTimes): In a major pre-election overhaul the state government late on Thursday evening transferred 19 senior IAS officials of principal secretary, secretary and commissioner rank. More shake up in administrative and police departments is likely to come in days to come.

The divisional commissioners of Saran, Kosi, Tirhut and Munger are among those shifted.

Tirhut commissioner K P Ramaiah (1986 batch), who has sought voluntary retirement, has been transferred to SC-ST welfare department as principal secretary. He will also hold the additional charge of secretary, State Mahadalit Commission. Ramaiah will be replaced by Narmadeshwar Lal (1998) who was project director of state disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction society.

S M Raju (1991), who was holding the post of secretary, SC-ST Welfare Department, and holding additional charge of secretary, Mahadalit Commission, has been posted as Saran commissioner.

Upendra Kumar (1998) is the new Kosi commissioner. He has been shifted from the post of OSD, Bihar Staff Selection Commission.

Anil Kumar (1998), who was special secretary, labour resources department, has been appointed the commissioner of Munger division.

Principal secretary, labour resources department, Subhash Sharma (1984 batch), who was also holding the additional charge of CEO, Bihar Skill Development Mission, has been shifted to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Resources Department.

Jairam Lal Meena (1980) is the new Agriculture Development Commissioner. He was Adviser, Bihar State Planning board, with additional charge of additional commissioner, departmental inquiry. Meena has been replaced by cane commissioner Lian Kunga (1985).

B Pradhan (1987) will be the principal secretary, tourism department, which he was earlier holding the additional charge of Mines Commissioner cum Principal Secretary, Mines and Geology department. Sunil Kumar Singh (1983), who was waiting for posting, will be the new Mines Commissioner cum Principal Secretary, Mines and Geology Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Managing Director, Bihar State Mineral Development Corporation.

The Executive Director of Bihar Health Society Sanjay Kumar (1990), who was holding the additional charge of Secretary, Health Department, has been transferred to Labour Resources Department as Secretary. He will hold additional charge of CEO, Skill Development Mission.

Sanjay Kumar Singh (1998) will take over as Executive Director of State Health Society, with additional charge of Secretary, Health Department.

IG, prison, Anand Kishore (1996), who was holding the additional charge of DG Prosecution and MD Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited has been moved to Bihar State Planning Board as adviser. Additional Resident Commissioner, Bihar Bhavan, New Delhi, Bipin Kumar (1996) will be the new IG, Prison, with additional charge of DG, Prosecution, and MD, Bihar Sate Power Generation Company Limited.

Santosh Kumar Mall (1997), Secretary, Labour Resources Department, has been shifted to South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited as MD. Director, Primary Education, Chittranjan Singh (2000) has been transferred as Cane Commissioner and Sarvana M (2002), Director, Agriculture, has been made Director, Primary Education. Director, social welfare, Dharmendra Singh (2006) has been made Director, Agriculture, and CEO, Finance Department, Imamuddin Ahmad, IRS (2001 batch), has been shifted to Social Welfare Department as Director.
