Any LJP-JD(U) tie-up would not alter the poll result in Bihar: BJP

Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that any opportunistic tie-up between Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party and chief minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) would not yield any result in their favour as the support base of both have shifted to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Talking to the media after the Janata Darbar on Tuesday he said with nine MLAs hailing from Scheduled Caste his party, the BJP, had emerged as the true champion of the Dalits.
Rejecting Nitish Kumar’s claim of having no link whatsoever with the Congress Sushil Modi said while on the one hand, the chief minister is denying any attempt to forge alliance with the Congress, on the other hand, many leaders of his own party are in touch with Congress for tie-up.
On Congress party’s support to the Nitish Kumar government he said it was doing so in the same manner as it was doing in Delhi, where it was backing the Arvind Kejriwal government. The Congress thinks that by doing so it would keep the BJP away from power, but its dream would never be fulfilled as there is a big wave in favour of Narendra Modi.
