16 IPS officers transferred in Bihar


Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government on Wednesday transferred 16 IPS officers.
Patna at last got a full-fledged SP (Traffic) after several months. Lakhisarai SP Rajiv Mishra, a 2010-batch IPS officer, has been appointed Patna SP (Traffic) while Economic Offences Unit SP Ashok Kumar of 2006 batch, has been sent to Lakhisarai as SP.
Arwal SP Akhtar Hussain (2004 batch) has once again been transferred. It was only in November last that he was shifted from Araria after disturbances in the district during Muharram procession. He has now been made AIG (Inspection) at the police HQ in Patna.
Sunil Kumar, a 2005-batch IPS officer, who was special branch SP (Security), was transferred to Sheohar as SP, replacing Himanshu Shankar Trivedi, a 2010-batch IPS officer who has now been made Commandant of Bihar Military Police-12, headquartered at Saharsa.
Saran SP Varun Kumar, a 2002-batch IPS officer, has been shifted to Munger in the same capacity while Special Task Force (STF) SP Sudhir Kumar Singh, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been made Saran SP.
Madhubani SP Ranjit Kumar Mishra, a 2007-batch IPS officer, has been made Special Branch (Security) SP.
Munger SP Navin Chandra Jha of 2009-batch, has replaced Mishra as Madhubani SP.
Additional SP of Jamui Shafiul Haq, a 2007-batch IPS officer, has been made Arwal SP. Pranav Kumar Praveen, a 2007-batch IPS officer, who was posted as additional SP at Aurangabad, has been made SP of STF.
