I will contest from Madhepura and no other place, says Sharad Yadav

Patna,(BiharTimes): The national president of the Janata Dal (United) Sharad Yadav has strongly denied the media reports that he wanted to contest the Rajya Sabha election.
Talking to the media on Saturday, a day after announcing the names of three Rajya Sabha nominees of the Janata Dal (United), he said there was absolutely no question of he fighting the Rajya Sabha election. “It is a baseless news. I always contested Lok Sabha election. Why should I go for Rajya Sabha?” he asked.
On being asked whether he was offered to contest from Nalanda parliamentary seat by the chief minister Nitish Kumar he said why should he do so. He would contest from Madhepura and no other place. The party won quite a few seats from that region, he added.
On being asked about the reported differences within the party he said soon everything would be all right. He hotly denied that Shivanand Tiwary was punished because he spoke against the party leadership at the Chintan Shivir of Janata Dal (United) in Rajgir on October 28.
He hastened to add that his party is not like Congress and “we donot stop people from speaking. However, the decision of the party is acceptable to all.”
