Patna,(BiharTimes): Reports from New Delhi say that the Congress, RJD, LJP and NCP have finalized an alliance in Bihar. The final announcement, however, would be made any day.
The agreement was reached after a meeting between the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and RJD chief Lalu Prasad in the national capital.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh also met Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday evening.
As per the agreement the RJD is likely to contest 20-22 seats, the Congress 10-11, LJP six to seven and one seat, that of Katihar, would be left for the Nationalist Congress Party’s leader and the Union minister of state for agriculture, Tariq Anwar. He had represented this constituency in the past too.
