BJP protests as Nitish addresses Sankalp rally in Banka district

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar has to change his route to reach Rajaun block in Banka district to address a Sankalp rally on Wednesday. Rajaun is situated on Banka-Bhagalpur road. He had to do so following the BJP’s move to block the road.

While addressing the rally the chief minister once again criticized the Congress and former partner the BJP.

He alleged that it was due to the greed of power that the alliance with the BJP broke in Bihar.

He said that till recently they were in power together with the Janata Dal (United) but now that they have parted ways they are hurling baseless charges against the state government and he himself. They are master in concocting stories and hatching conspiracies.

He rejected the allegations that he had betrayed the BJP. Instead he charged that it is the Bharatiya Janata Party which betrayed not the people of the state but also the country.

He reiterated that what happened in 2002 in Gujarat can neither be forgiven nor be forgotten. Without taking the name of Lalu Prasad the chief minister once again said that he behaves in such a way as if he has come out of the prison after taking part in the freedom movement.

Meanwhile, the BJP workers under the leadership of former minister, Ashwini Choubey, staged protest demonstration near Kuchery Chowk in Bhagalpur. They raised slogans against the rise in crime and deteriorating law and order condition in the state.

Ashwini Choubey charged Nitish of giving shelter to terrorists and getting people killed in blasts in Patna.

Students also protested against irregularities in ITI exam.
