BJP raises Plus-Two result issue in Council

Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as the fate of over a lakh Plus Two students hangs in the balance BJP legislators on Monday created noisy scenes in the Legislative Council during Zero hour.

The students have been agitating for the past over a month against the marks given to them in the Plus Two examination as many of them had failed to clear it. Also, the number of students securing first class in science dropped from 52 per cent in 2013 to 18 per cent in 2014.

About 1.8 lakh students have applied for the re-totalling because several successful candidates of engineering exams such as the IIT-JEE failed to clear the Plus Two exam.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Council, Sushil Kumar Modi, said about 2.5 lakh examinees have applied for re-totalling.

According to Modi during the past two months, the BSEB has managed to re-total only 20 per cent of the applicants’ papers. At this rate, it will take more than six months to complete the process.
