RJD MLA adopts unique way to protest against price rise

Patna,(BiharTimes): To protest against the rise in price of essential commodities RJD MLA Dinesh Kumar Singh, alias Bhai Dinesh, on Wednesday stood at the entrance of Bihar Assembly with a garland of onions, potatoes other vegetables and fruits.

Though he wanted to garland it to the first BJP legislator who come across him he failed in his bid as all the saffron party MLAs evaded him. He was left with no option but to garland himself.

With this garland around his neck he roamed about for some time and attracted attention of legislators, media people and common men and women.

Dinesh, MLA from Jagdishpur in Bhojpur district, told the media that he had to spend two hours in the morning to make the garland as he first went around in Patna to buy onions, potatoes, brinjals, bananas, ladyfingers, bitter-gourd, apples, pears and other fruits and vegetables. He then stringed them to make the garland.

He said that though the farmers are forced to sell their products at the throwaway prices, the middlemen and traders are walking away with all the profits. The Narendra Modi government, which has come on the promise to check the price rise, has failed to do so. Instead the prices have increased more than before, he added
