Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United) leader Monazir Hasan joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at a function in the party office in Patna on Wednesday evening. He was accompanied by a large number of his supporters.

He was welcomed into the party fold by the state BJP chief, Mangal Pandey. Also present on the occasion were the leader of opposition in the state Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, the leader of opposition in the Legislative Council, Sushil Kumar Modi, and others.

Pandey said that a large number of JD(U) leaders are feeling betrayed and let down by the stand of former chief minister Nitish Kumar, who has now joined hands with the RJD.

Speaking on the occasion Monazir praised the leadership of Narendra Modi and said that the atmosphere in the BJP is like a family while he was feeling suffocated in the JD(U), which neglected him.
