Three dozen more JD(U) MLAs ready to cross over to BJP: SuMo

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said on Sunday that three dozen more Janata Dal (United) MLAs are ready to quit their party and join his party.

Reacting to the growing proximity between the JD(U) and RJD Sushil Modi said that most of the ruling party legislators of the state are furious over talks of alliance with Lalu Prasad. Nobody in Janata Dal (United) was prepared to break alliance with the BJP but Nitish Kumar took the decision without consulting anyone, he added.

The BJP leader said that the way 18 MLAs of the Janata Dal (United) indulged in cross-voting during the recent Rajya Sabha by-election is a pointer to the growing resentment within Nitish Kumar’s camp.

This is not the first time that the BJP leader has made such statement of likely split in the JD(U).
