Nitish asks Giriraj to explain as BJP MP says money belongs to his cousin

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister Nitish Kumar said that it is better for the BJP MP, Giriraj Singh, to explain at the earliest from where he had got such huge amount of money.

Talking to the media he applauded the good work done by the Patna Police in recovering Rs 1.14 crore, 600 US dollar and jewellery within a few hours of theft.

On the other hand former chief minister Rabri Devi teased Giriraj Singh and alleged that the amount belonged to the animal husbandry department as he had been the minister of this department till June 16 last year.

Rabri asked as to why are the BJP leaders silent now. Till a few days back they were saying that the jungle raj had returned after JD(U) and RJD joined hands. Now that the amount has been recovered within hours what would these leader say.

Meanwhile, Giriraj Singh told the media in New Delhi that the recovered Rs 1.14 crore, 600 US dollar and jewellery belong to his cousin and that he would make further disclosure in this regard after his return to Patna.

In spite of the repeated questions by the journalists he refused to elaborate.
