Patna,(BiharTimes): With 2,335 and 1,182 Uttar Pradesh and Bihar top the list of states which witnessed highest number of dowry deaths in 2013. The undivided Andhra Pradesh with 492 stood third.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) West Bengal, with 18,116, recorded highest number of dowry harassment cases to be followed by Rajasthan 15,094 cases and Andhra Pradesh 15,084 cases.
