Nitish accuses BJP of destroying Brand Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister Nitish Kumar has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party for destroying Brand Bihar by spreading rumours and creating fear.

In his latest Facebook post uploaded on Saturday he said the BJP leaders were trying to make people believe that ‘acheche din’ (good days) have come for India but it is bad days for Bihar.

Nitish said after eight years of hard labour a Brand Bihar symbolizing good governance, economic progress, improved law and order and infrastructure development had been created, which lifted the image of the state and its people. But the BJP is making all efforts to destroy that brand and image of the state.

Nitish said it has been noticing that whenever something good about Bihar is highlighted like the growth rate, reduction of poverty, increase in forest coverage or progress in agriculture, BJP resorts to aggressive “negative approach”.

He said with BJP in power at the Centre, its leaders could have utilized their strength to attract and bring investment to Bihar by projecting a positive picture of the state, and assure its people that good days would come. Instead, they were busy showing Bihar in poor light. This also showed that the BJP leaders had no concern for the youth of the state and they did not bother about the progress of Bihar.

The post said: “After its conspiracy in the bypolls for two Rajya Sabha seats failed, BJP leaders are looking for new strategies everyday with the sole aim of destroying the good name that Bihar has earned in the past eight years.”
