BJP legislators stall both Houses over Aurangabad police firing

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bharatiya Janata Party legislators on Monday created ruckus in both Houses of Bihar Assembly over the killing of two persons, including a woman, in police firing in Aurangabad district on Saturday.

The Assembly had to be adjourned twice before lunch––once till 12:00 and than till 2:00 PM.

Leader of Opposition Nand Kishore Yadav demanded that the Speaker suspend all business and discuss the police firing. He said that one of them killed is a woman while another a child. The firing had taken place only a few days after Sasaram police firing in which two persons were killed.

When Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary asked him to raise the question at an appropriate time and not disturb the Question Hour, BJP members trooped into well of the House and raised anti-government slogans forcing him to adjourn.

In the Legislative Council the BJP members entered into the well and shouted slogans against the government forcing adjournment of the House till 2:30 PM.

Talking to the media Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Sushil Kumar Modi demanded judicial inquiry into the incident and payment of Rs 10 lakh compensation to the families of two persons killed in the firing.
