SuMo asks JD(U) to clear stand on split in NDA

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former deputy CM and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday asked the Janata Dal (United) to explain as to who between the two––chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi or former CM Nitish Kumar––represent the stand of the party over split with the BJP on June 16 last.

In a statement he referred to Manjhi’s statement that the JD(U) broke away from NDA after BJP included controversial issues, like Uniform Civil Code, Article 370 etc in its agenda while on the other hand Nitish had repeatedly said that he parted ways because the BJP projected Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate, which was not acceptable to him.

Criticizing Manjhi he said these issues had been integral to the BJP’s agenda all these years when Nitish Kumar was part of the BJP-led alliance at the Centre as well as in Bihar.

On Rajya Sabha by-poll and candidature of BJP leader, Dilip Jaiswal, he said that his party was gathering facts and would decide on its course of action on June 12.

The BJP leader also flayed RJD chief Lalu Prasad for changing his stand on the Rajya Sabha poll.
