JD(U), rebels accuse each other of intimidation, use of money power 

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The Janata Dal (United) and the rebels––now backed by the BJP––are accusing each other of indulging in gross misuse of money power, arm-twisting, phone-tapping and intimidation.

While those close to former chief minister Nitish Kumar accused the rebels of trying to buy votes by luring MLAs with cash ranging between Rs 20 lakh and one Rs one crore one of the Independent candidates, Sabir Ali, said that he was going to file an FIR against some ruling party legislators, who are threatening him and alluring the MLAs supporting him. He said that he would take the matter to the Election Commission.

The Nitish loyalists, who met on Tuesday at the house of Manjit Kumar Singh, MLA, alleged that they are getting phone calls from the rebels and are noting down or saving the numbers. In all only 25 legislators, including ministers like Shyam Rajak, Ranju Geeta, Bima Bharati etc attend the meeting.
On the other hand Gyanendra Singh Gyanu, the leader of the rebels, said they are fighting a political battle and denied that money power has anything to do with it. Instead he charged the ruling party with implicate them in false police cases and intimidating them. 

On the other hand another rebel, Poonam Devi, accused minister Ranju Geeta of indulging in phone tapping.
