Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP leader and former deputy chief minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday sought the immediate removal of the state governor, D Y Patil, and all the governors appointed by what he said Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Talking to the media he alleged that the state governor is playing into the hands of the government. To buttress his point he cited the example of the nomination for the Bihar Legislative Council. He said that at least five of 12, who got nominated to the Upper House were in fact members the Bihar Legislative Assembly, who got elected on the ticket of different political parties. They were asked to resign and then nominated to the Upper House. He asked as to why the governor did not apply his mind and signed on the dotted line. “It seems that the script was prepared by the ruling Janata Dal (United) and the governor only acted as per the direction.

He said as in 2004 all the governors appointed by the UPA should either be removed or should be asked to put in their papers.

He accused the Bihar governor of violating the democratic process in the state.
