Retired IAS officer’s granddaughter kidnapped

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The one-and-a-half-year old granddaughter of a retired IAS officer, Waseemuddin Anjum (70), was reportedly kidnapped by the family driver on Tuesday morning. Twenty-four hours later no trace has been made about her. 
The driver, Raj Kumar, as usual, took her out on a regular stroll.
The family members lodged an FIR naming the driver as the prime accused. The driver had been recruited in September 2012. 
The granddaughter, Tahira, used to live at house number 180A in the Patliputra Colony with her grandfather as his father, Faiz Ahmed, works for a softwar firm in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Anjum (70) is working as an additional director of Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital. 
According to Anjum, a promoted IAS (retired) his granddaughter had developed a liking for a pet monkey in the neighbourhood and that she used to go everyday in the morning with the driver to feed it.
As everyday Raj Kumar took Tahira at around 8:00 AM. He would usually return by 8:30. It was only after search that they called the police at 10:30 in the morning.
The family members received a miss call on their cell phone but when they tried to ring back on the same number the phone was switched off.
The police is tracing his cellphone tower location, which is somewhere in Pahadi.
