Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday thanked the RJD chief, Lalu 
Prasad Yadav, for the support his party had extended to the two Janata Dal (Unitd) candidates for the Rajya Sabha by-poll.

Talking to the media on Wednesday evening Nitish said that he had appealed to Lalu Prasadji to foil the design of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that never in the history of Bihar had such destructive politics been played and held the saffron party responsible for it.

“I am quite happy that RJD has taken this decision and I am thankful to Lalu Prasadji and RJD. I also thank the Congress and CPI,” he told the media.

As Lalu, former CM Nitish too refused to comment on the future relationship of the two parties, Janata Dal (United) and RJD.

Nitish also appealed to all the rebels to return to the party fold and understand the gameplan of the BJP. No one should play into the hands of the BJP. 

The former CM said that the party is like mother and thus should not be disrespected. Several other people have expressed their anger but have returned to the fold. The party would definitely listen to the grievances. So one must not be misguided, he added.
