Patna,(BiharTimes): Even before the official announcement of results for the Rajya Sabha by-poll was made a large number of Janata Dal (United) workers burnt the effigies of party rebels like Gyanendra Singh Gyanu and Poonam Devi.

They assembled outside their houses and raised slogans against them and alleged that these rebel legislators should have resigned on principle. 

The party workers said that they played into the hands of the BJP and should be taught a lesson.

The workers were elated at the victory of the party candidates, Pawan Kumar Verma and Ghulam Rasool Balyawi.
