No arrest after school teacher’s murder in Jharkhand

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Jharkhand Police have made no arrest even after about four days of the brutal murder of a school-teacher, Akhilesh Kumar, (50) on the school campus at Raj Dhanwar in Giridih district. He was originally from Guraru block of Gaya district of Bihar.

The CPI ML on Monday gave a bandh call to protest this cold-blooded murder, which remained a mystery. The police are yet to detain or interrogate any one though a forensic team from Ranchi visited the spot on Sunday to gather the evidence into the death of a school-teacher.

Akhilesh Kumar is the brother of Ajay Kumar, editor of news-portal, BiharTimes.com. Friends, colleagues and family members are shocked as they are yet to know the motive behind the killing.

After the murder a sniffer dog was also pressed into service but it could not go too far because of rain.

Akhilesh’s body was found by students on the morning of June 20 in a room of the school within the campus. The body has multiple wounds and it seems he was stabbed. Akhilesh and a couple of other teachers used to live in rooms of the school, but on the fateful night of June 19-20 no other teachers were there.

Family-members said that he had no personal enmity with anyone and was socially quite active.

The involvement of students or criminal gangs can not be ruled out as his presence in the school could have been an eyesore for them.
