Anjani Kumar Singh to be new Chief Secretary of Bihar

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The 1981 batch IAS officer, Anjani Kumar Singh, was on Wednesday appointed as the new chief secretary of Bihar. He will succeed Ashok Kumar Sinha, who is to retire on June 30. Sinha became the chief secretary on August 31, 2012. After retirement he would be made DG Centre for Good Governance.

Singh was the eighth in the rank of seniority among IAS officers yet he was named as the chief secretary of Bihar.

Now there are 10 chief secretary rank officers in the state.

Amrit Lal Meena will be the Officer on Special Duty to the chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. 

Deepak Kumar has been made the Principal Secretary in chief minister’s secretariat. He will hold the additional post of Principal Secretary Health.

The appointment of the chief secretary came a day after the replacement of the Director General of Police Abhayanand with P K Thakur.
