PM rejects name of official for the post of PS of Upendra Kushwaha

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned down the name of 2011 batch Sikkim cadre IAS officer for the post of private secretary for Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and Sanitation, Upendra Kushwaha. The latter had recommended the name of Ravinder Kumar as his private secretary to the Appointment Committee of Cabinet.

However, an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training said “the Prime Minister has not approved the proposal of the Department of Rural Development for appointment of Ravinder Kumar as Private Secretary” to Upendra Kushwaha, who is the chief of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party.

Ravindra Kumar is a resident of Bihar. He was the first IAS officer to scale Mount Everest.
