Patna,(BiharTimes): Niranjan Sah of Nawada village in Bhagalpur district was on Saturday arrested for allegedly demanding Rs 15 lakh as extortion money from former Bihar Assembly Speaker and Congress legislative party leader, Sadanand Singh.

An FIR was lodged by Sadanand, MLA from Kahalgaon constituency, with the Antichak police station, following which police tracked the mobile numbers from which extortion calls were made to him. 

According to DSP Neeraj Kumar Singh Sah had asked Sadanand to put money in an unnumbered auto-rickshaw at Par Chowk near the Bus Stand in Bhagalpur. Sah rang up Sadanand twice in this regard. The police is trying to trace the auto-rickshaw and its driver.

Sah revealed the identity of his two other accomplices and police are carrying out raids to nab them.
