MoS Railways holds review meeting with ECR officials

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The new Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha, who is incidentally the BJP MP from Ghazipur in East UP, on Monday held his first meeting with senior officials of the East Central Railway in Patna, and inquired about status of various projects like rail-cum road bridge project at Digha in Patna, rail bridge over Ganga in Munger and another one over river Kosi between Nirmali and Saraigarh in Madhubani district.

He was apprised by the ECR General Manager Madhuresh Kumar of various obstacles before the projects in the state. The minister assured that all the the bottlenecks, including funds, would be removed.

The issue of shortage of housing facilities for the railway employees also cropped up in the meeting, He said he would look into the matter.

Manoj Sinha directed the ECR officials to reduce operational costs, find out ways to increase revenue and take effective measures to check revenue leakage in loading and unloading of freight.
Apart from Madhuresh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Construction (South) L M Jha, Danapur Division Manager M K Gupta and ECR CPRO Arvind Kumar Rajak were present in the meeting.
