Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government on Friday made another administrative shake-up. Only on Thursday 19 IAS officers were transferred and many of them were shifted again on Friday.
 
Those shifted included principal secretaries of all the major departments, including road construction, transport, education, energy, mines and geology, water resources, commercial taxes, rural development and agriculture. The DMs of six districts––Gaya, Jehanabad, West Champaran, East Champaran, Madhubani and Kishanganj––were also shifted.
 
Patna has a new divisional commissioner, N Vijaya Lakshmi, a 1995-batch officer. She replaces E L S N Bala Prasad, who has been asked to join as secretary-cum-commissioner, commercial taxes. 
 
Commissioners of Kosi and Saran divisions have also been changed.
 
S Sidharath, secretary department of urban development and housing has been made secretary, rural works department, replacing B Rajendra, who has been made secretary resources, department of finance, with additional charge of secretary (expenditure) and MD BIADA and MD Bihar State Infrastructure Development Authority and MD, Bihar State Industrial Developemnt Commissioner.
 
Principal secretary, education, Amarjeet Sinha has been transferred to social welfare department in the same capacity, replacing Rajit Punhani who has been made additional commissioner, departmental inquiry, under the general administration department.
 
Pratyay Amrit, a 1991-batch officer, has been made secretary of energy department. He will also hold additional charges of secretary, information and public relations department and chairman-cum-managing director of Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited.
 
Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (2002 batch), who was notified as MD, North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL), on Thursday, has now been made Gaya DM, replacing Balamurugan D, who has now been made MD, NBPDCL. 
 
Vandana Preyashi (2003 batch) has been made Madhubani DM, replacing her batchmate Lokesh Kumar Singh who will be the new DM of West Champaran. West Champaran DM Abhay Kumar Singh (2004 batch) has been transferred to East Champaran in the same capacity. 
 
Kishanganj DM Aditya Kumar Das (2006 batch) is the new Jehanabad DM. He replaces Mohammad Sohail (2007), who has been notified as joint secretary, water resources department. 
 
DDC, Bhojpur, Animesh Kumar Parashar has been made new DM of Kishanganj.
