Zakir Anwar joins JD(U), charges Ram Vilas of accepting Rs 50 crore from BJP |
Patna,(BiharTimes): The lone Lok Janshakti Party MLA, Zakir Husain, who quit the party in protest against its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday joined the Janata Dal (United) in presence of chief minister Nitish Kumar. He later went to the party office, where he was greeted by Janata Dal (United) leaders and workers. The state party chief, Bashishta Narayan Singh and Rajya Sabha MP, R C P Sinha were also present on the occasion. Zakir accused his former boss Ram Vilas Paswan of ditching the secular forces and the people of the state. He said that Paswan is now sitting in the lap of Sangh Parivar and charged that he had crossed over after a deal of Rs 50 crore was made with the BJP.
