Ram Kripal accepts Misa’s offer, to contest from Patliputra as RJD candidate

Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Rajya Sabha MP, Ram Kripal Yadav, late on Saturday night accepted the offer made by Misa Bharati, the eldest daughter of the party supremo, Lalu Prasad Yadav, to contest from Patliputra parliamentary seat.
He told the media in New Delhi that he had learnt that Misa Bharati came to her house. “Though I have not met her we have a telephonic talk. I also heard her offer on television and I accept it,” he said adding that now Lalu Prasad should make the announcement about his candidature.
Ram Kripal said Misa is like his niece. “We have family ties along with political relationship,” he said.
The end came after a day long drama in the house of Ram Kripal in New Delhi, where Misa Bharati camped for more than five hours. Though she could not meet him she had no regret. “I will meet her tomorrow, if not today. Where has he gone, not to America. I will surely meet him. He is like my chacha (uncle) and I can not afford to lose him,” she said adding that “I can sort out this problem in a chutki (in a moment) by withdrawing my candidature,” she said.
The latest development virtually brought to end the speculation that Ram Kripal is going to the BJP fold.
This is the second time within a few weeks that the party has overcome a major crisis. Only a few days back 13 MLAs revolted. However, nine of them later returned to the party fold.
