Ghulam Ghouse joins JD(U), Ram Kripal on way to BJP


Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Janata Dal received a double-blow on Monday with its leader in Bihar Legislative Council finally accepting the membership of the ruling Janata Dal (United) at the official residence of chief minister Nitish Kumar while Ram Kripal Yadav indicating that he is on the way to BJP.

Later Ghouse was greeted at the state party headquarters by Bihar unit president of Janata Dal (United), Bashista Narayan Singh. He came here with a large number of supporters.

Ghouse showered praise on Nitish and charged Lalu Prasad of promoting family rule and ignoring the dedicated RJD leaders and workers. He vowed never to return to the party. He also charged Lalu with ignoring a large section of Muslims and only promoting a particular section of the community.

He is now most likely to contest as JD(U) candidate from Madhubani from where the RJD has fielded its leader in the state Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui.

On the other hand Rajya Sabha MP of the party, Ram Kripal Yadav, after holding a prolong meeting with his supporters has finally decided to contest election from Patliputra parliamentary constituency, from where Lalu’s daughter, Misa Bharati, is a candidate. He is most likely to be made BJP candidates. He may join the party on Tuesday.
