Nawal Kishore Yadav upset over Ram Kripal’s entry into BJP

Patna,(BiharTimes): The entry of Ram Kripal Yadav into the Bharatiya Janata Party does not appear to be so smooth an affair as a ticket aspirant from Patliputra seat, Nawal Kishore Yadav, on Tuesday claimed that he had got assurance from the party central leadership to contest poll from this seat.

Talking to the media he said that he never joined the BJP for getting the party ticket, but was expelled from his own party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal, in August last because he openly praised the saffron party’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi. He said that he had joined the BJP after being asked by Baba Ramdev to back a strong person to lead India.

Nawal Kishore Yadav said that he had been asked by the party to file his nomination. “I embraced Narendra Modi’s ideology and was in touch with the party for the last couple of months,” Nawal, who actually joined the saffron party on February 27 last said.

“I was expelled from my party because I supported Modi. Even Baba Ramdev held talks with me. Only then I joined the party. I never joined the BJP because I could not get ticket. I got the assurance even today,” he said.

According to the list of 23 candidates prepared by the party but not officially announced he was chosen to contest from Paltiputra. But the recent development leading to the resignation of Ram Kripal Yadav from Rashtriya Janata Dal changed the whole scenario and there is rethinking in the party. On Tuesday Ram Kripal met BJP chief Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and he is most likely to join the party on Wednesday.
