BJP’s Giriraj Singh refuses to contest from Nawada Lok Sabha seat

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former BJP minister and Narendra Modi-loyalist Giriraj Singh has refused to contest election from Nawada Lok Sabha seat as offered by the party.

He told the media that he had conveyed his feeling to the party chief, Rajnath Singh, and other leaders. He wanted to contest election from Begusarai but was allotted ticket from Nawada.

However, when reminded of his strong support for the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Giriraj said that “I am prepared to make another sacrifice for NaMo.”

The party has shifted its sitting MP from Nawada, Bhola Singh, to Begusarai. His supporters are asking as to why Bhola Singh has been shifted to Begusarai from Nawada.

Former health minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey too expressed his displeasure over the distribution of tickets.

Another party leader and BJP MLC Baleshwar Bharati on Friday called Sushil Modi a tyrant and arrogant, who can not survive without being in power. He said that Modi only wants to remain in the news and has no base whatsoever.
