JD(U) final list announcement put off by a day

Patna,(BiharTimes): The deadlock in the Janata Dal (United) over seat distribution continues with the party chief, Sharad Yadav, announcing the names of just six of the 38 candidates on Saturday afternoon.
Earlier it was expected that he would announce the name of 36 of the 38 candidates the party is contesting in Bihar.
While addressing the media he said that the rest of the names would be announced on Sunday.
The six names which have been declared are: Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary from Jamui reserved seat, Mahabali Singh from Karakat, Bagi Prasad Verma from Aurangabad, JItan Ram Manjhi from Gaya reserved seat, K P Ramaiah from Sasaram reserved seat and Kaushlendra Kumar from Nalanda.
The fact is that the six candidates, whose names were announced on Saturday have already been allotted the party symbols and one of them Jitan Ram Manjhi had already filed his nomination papers from Gaya. So the truth is that the party chief made no new announcement on Saturday.
Interestingly, three of these six seats announced are reserved for Scheduled Castes. Thus it is now clear that the tussle is more over unreserved seats.
Sources said that chief minister Nitsih Kumar and Sharad Yadav continue to differ on two seats: Khagaria and Buxar.
While Nitish has assured Shakuni Chaudhary the ticket from Khagaria before he was inducted into the party fold from RJD Sharad wants the ticket be given to the sitting MP, Dinesh Chandra Yadav.
In Buxar Nitish wants to field Shyam Lal Kushwaha while the JD(U) chief is backing someone else.
The delay in the announcement of the final list of candidates has created further confusion in the rank and file. While the candidates of RJD-Congress combine and the BJP-led NDA have already started their campaign the JD(U) is yet to select its candidates in most of the seats.
