Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP MLA from Baisi (Purnea) Santosh Kumar Kushwaha and party MLC, Manoj Kumar Singh on Friday joined the Janata Dal (United) in presence of the state party chief Bashistha Narain Singh.
They are likely to be made the party’s candidate from Purnea and Siwan parliamentary constituencies respectively.
They alleged that they were feeling suffocated in BJP.
Kushwaha also resigned from his membership of Bihar Assembly, reducing the BJP strength to 89 seats.
Manoj was elected from local bodies constituitency to the state Legislative Council.
Kushwaha was opposed to sitting BJP MP Uday Singh getting ticket while Manoj strongly criticized the party’s decision to give ticket to the sitting Independent MP, Om Prakash Yadav.
