Patna (BiharTimes): A team of economists from Bihar under the leadership Shaibal Gupta  will attend the third annual South Asia Conference from March 17 to 19. He would be accompanied by Dr. Prabhat P Ghose, Chinmaya Kumar, Abhimanyu Gehlot and Ghanshyam Tiwary. The participants include economists and development functionaries from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and UK .

Researchers from across the world will present their papers on the growth prospective of the South Asia.

In the opening session, the government of Pakistan officials, including Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, Ahsan Iqbal, will give the overview of the working of the government and future prospects.
Hasan Nawaz Tarrar, federal secretary of the planning and development, Dr Jonathan Leape, executive director, IGC, Dr Ijaz Nabi, country director, IGC Pakistan, Dr Anjan Mukherji, country director, IGC Bihar, India, and Dr Sultan Hafeez Rehman, country director, IGC, Bangladesh, will also address the session.
