CM ridicules BJP’s claims on collapse of the state government

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday ridiculed the claim of the Bharatiya Janata Party that 50 of its MLAs are in touch with the saffron party and that the Janata Dal (United) government would collapse in a few days.

Addressing an election meeting for his party’s candidate, Avineesh Singh, at Chakia in Purvi Champaran Lok Sabha seat, he said that for him the bigger challenge was to protect the country and not the chair.

He asked as to how can the BJP leaders even predict date on which his government would collapse in Bihar. This is simply laughable, he added.

On the BJP leader Ashwani Choubey’s claim that the state government would collapse on May 21 he said when there is no certainty of life, what to talk about the survival of the government.

Nitish said that the day he decided to snap ties with the BJP on the issue of principle, he never bothered about the chair.
