SuMo denounces termination of membership of four JD(U) MLAs

Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday denounced the Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary’s decision to terminate the Assembly membership of four Janata Dal (United) MLAs.
Calling the move as undemocratic he alleged that the action had been taken on the orders of the former chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Flaying the Speaker he said that Chaudhary behaved against the expectation and worked like a ruling party member. This is a dictatorship.
The Speaker earlier on Saturday terminated the membership of four JD (U) MLAs––Gyanendra Singh Gyanu, Neeraj Kumar Bablu, Rahul Sharma (son of former MP Jagdish Sharma) and Ravindra Rai. The action was taken after they cast their votes against the party nominee in last Rajya Sabha election in Bihar.
The terminated MLAs have dubbed the move as worse than Maoists’ diktat and Tughlaqi ‘farman’ and have said that they would move court. Not only were their membership terminated they have also been deprived of all the facilities and privileges as former MLAs.
