Bihar cheated in cabinet expansion by Narendra Modi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said on Monday that the people of Bihar have once again been cheated (thuga), humiliated and ignored in the expansion of cabinet by prime minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

Talking to the media on the sidelines of his Janata Darbar he said that it sounds bizarre that Rajeev Pratap Rudy has been made minister of state when he had already served as a cabinet minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayeee ministry more than a decade ago.

Stating that ministers from Bihar have not got important portfolios he said that half a dozen inexperienced or first time MPs have got the cabinet berth while leader like Ram Kripal Yadav has only got the status of minister of state when he is much seasoned politician and has been to Parliament several times. In this regard he took the name of Smriti Irani, who has come under criticism for her inexperience in the past too.

He said that Modi has followed the dynastic principle. “You all know whom he has appointed minister from Jharkhand,” he said hinting at Jayant Sinha, son of former Finance Minister, Yashwant Sinha.

He once again denied that there is any differences (matbhet) whatsoever with former chief minister Nitish Kumar. This has just been spread by the media.

The chief minister said while Nitish is looking more after the party affairs he himself is looking after the government. “We can even share the platform, when required,” he added.
