Nand Kishore seeks Manjhi’s apology for ‘foreigner’ statement

Patna,(BiharTimes): The leader of opposition in the state Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, on Wednesday strongly criticized chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s statement that upper castemen are foreigners as they are Aryans, who have come from outside India.

Talking to the media he said that everyone is Bharatiya in India and there is nothing like outsider and native in the country.

Nand Kishore sought immediate apology from the chief minister for this highly irresponsible statement and called it ‘ghenona’ (nasty) behaviour.

The BJP leader asked the former chief minister Nitish Kumar to clarify whether he stands by CM’s statement. “Does Nitish believe that upper castemen are from outside?” he asked.

It needs to be recalled that while addressing the tribals in Valmikinagar in West Champaran, Manjhi on Tuesday said that the upper castemen are Aryans and have thus come from outside while the SC, ST and weaker section of the society are the native of the country.
