No BJP bigwigs at Patna airport to welcome Advani

Patna,(BiharTimes): Save state party chief Mangal Pandey no senior BJP leader was at the Patna airport to receive the former deputy prime minister, Lal Krishna Advani.
Neither the former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi nor the leader of opposition in the state Assembly Nand Kishore Yadav was present.
In contrast the three Union ministers, who arrived in Patna on the same day got a tumultuous welcome both at the airport and at a function organized by the party.
The BJP workers even threw all the norms and rules to the wind to rush to the runway to greet them.
Advani was here to attend a function organized on the occasion of Children’s Day by a school run for Musahar boys and girls near Khagaul by former IPS officer, J K Sinha.
Incidentally, neither Rajiv Pratap Rudy nor Ram Kripal Yadav attended the function though they were invited. The organizers had also invited Sushil Modi and Nand Kishore Yadav, but they too did not turn up. Instead they were all present at the party’s function to accord welcome to the three Union ministers.
The coldshouldering of Advani by the state party leaders came as a surprise as till recently all of them use to rush to greet him.
Incidentally, when Murli Manohar Joshi was here to attend the death anniversary of Kailashpati Mishra on November 3 he too was not accorded a very warm welcome though Sushil Modi and Nand Kishore did attend that function because the late leader was a party stalwart.
