Centrally-sponsored schemes fail to take-off, claims CM

Patna,(BiharTimes): Welcoming the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana of the Narendra Modi government Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said on Saturday that most of the centrally-sponsored schemes are launched with much pomp and show, but they fail to take off and achieve the desired goal.
Talking to the media he said that central schemes promise big dreams, but they fail to bring about desired result on the ground.
It is early on Saturday that the Prime Minister launched the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. Under this scheme each MP has to adopt one village each in the next three years. But they should not be their own native village. Modi himself has adopted one such village in Benaras, the parliamentary constituency which he represents in Lok Sabha.

Nitish is our choice for CM: Manjhi
Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said on Saturday that there is no need to attach too much meaning into what the former chief minister Nitish Kumar had said on Friday.
He said that at the time of Nitish’s resignation the Janata Dal (United) legislature party had resolved that the latter would have to take the responsibility once again after the party wins the next Assembly election. So if Nitish Kumar had said on Friday that he was not running away from the responsibility he had not said something new. “After all he is our choice of next chief minister,” he said.
Agriculture minister Narendra Singh has also said the same thing. “Nitish Kumar is our best choice for the post of chief minister. Everyone has accepted that Nitish Kumar is ‘uttam’ (superior) in many ways and we are unanimous that he should take up the leadership,” he added.
