Urban poor to get three decimal of land: Manjhi

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi announced on Thursday that poor people living in urban areas would also be given three decimal land like poor mahadalits get in rural areas.
He was speaking at a function at Panchpakri village in East Champaran district. The chief minister was on a two-day tour of the district. He handed over papers of three decimal land to five mahadalit families later on the occasion.
He also said that villages having population of 100 people would be linked with metallic road. The Nitish government had earlier announced to link villages having a minimum population of 250 with road. Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana of the central government every village with the population of 500 are being linked with the district headquarters. It had also launched a scheme for mahadalits under which three decimal land was provided to them for housing.
