Doctors on warpath, threaten strike if CM does not apologize

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state chapter of Indian Medical Association and Bihar Health Services Association held a meeting to condemn in the strongest term the remarks of the chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
They sought apology from the chief minister within 24 hours as the clarification that it was just a Hindi proverb would not do. If this is not done they would meet again on October 26 and may announce strike.
The doctors’ associations said that they would then move National Human Rights Commission, Patna high court and Supreme Court and finally send petition to the President.
They also demanded that government cancel the suspension of the PMCH superintendent and action against seven other doctors on the charge of dereliction of duty after the October 3 stampede at Gandhi Maidan in which 33 people lost their lives.
Apart from the doctors and BJP even the alliance partners of JD(U), the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress took strong objection to the use of such language by the chief minister.
