MoS for Railways flays Nitish for politicizing special status demand

Patna,(BiharTimes): Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the first chief minister of Bihar Shri Krishna Singh was the symbol of ‘susashan’ (good governance). The development works done between 1946 and 1961 are worth emulating.
Speaking at the 127th birth anniversary of first chief minister at the Shri Krishna Memorial hall he said that the Narendra Modi government would not discriminate against any state and the decision over special status would be taken on the basis of standard provisions.
According to Sinha, who was the chief guest of the function, the Prime Minister is in favour of granting more powers to the states, as well as, providing more financial assistance and autonomy to them.
He accused the former chief minister Nitish Kumar of politicizing the issue of special status category for selfish interests.
Sinha also announced that the Railways would run 300 special trains from different parts of India to Bihar to tackle the Chhath rush.
Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, while addressing the gathering said, the Prime Minister would fulfil his promise to the people of Bihar regarding special package and special status but for this the people would have to wait till the next Assembly election in 2015 as the present government has lost its mandate to rule. He said the PM would give three times more than what Bihar has the right to, but it would be possible when the state has the government which does not abuses the Narendra Modi government. In that case Bihar would develop in five years what Shri Babu government had achieved.
SuMo criticized former chief minister Nitish Kumar for ruining the state by breaking the alliance with the BJP due to ego problem and said that Bihar would develop better if the same party rules both at the Centre, as well as, the state.
The BJP leader said that Shri Krishna Singh could develop the state so much during his tenure because he belonged to the same party, which was also ruling at the Centre.
“We need to ensure that it happens again. That would be the best tribute to the first CM,” he added.
Leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav claimed that Narendra Modi wave was sweeping across the country as he is a leader who thinks about the welfare of all sections of society.
Other BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.
